This article is dedicated to the works of the renowned Saudi writer Ahmad Abdul-Malik and the analysis of his short stories, such as "Son of the Tribe" and "Young Wife."

Initially, Saudi literature experienced a strong influence from the Syro-American school, followed by Egyptian literature. Full-fledged artistic prose in Saudi Arabia emerged only in the early 1950s, developing within three literary movements: romantic, realistic, and existentialist.
