NUCLEAR AND PERIPHERAL LAYERS OF THE PHRASEOSEMANTIC FIELD IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK

This article examines the nuclear and peripheral layers of the phraseosemantic field in English and Uzbek from structural and comparative perspectives. The main aim of the study is to identify the internal hierarchical organization of phraseological units, determine the degree of their semantic weight, and analyze the functional features of the central and peripheral zones. The research employs componential analysis, semantic grouping, comparative method, and modeling. The results show that in both languages the phraseosemantic field has an internal stratification: the nuclear zone consists of stable units with high semantic density, while the peripheral layer includes metaphorical, expressive, and contextually active units. The comparative analysis made it possible to reveal both the common structural features of the phraseosemantic system and its national-specific characteristics.
