LINGUVODIDACTIC MECHANISMS OF DEVELOPING ENGLISH READING COMPETENCE OF LOGISTICS STUDENTS ON THE BASIS OF AUTHENTIC MATERIALS

This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations, linguvodidactic possibilities and pedagogical effectiveness of using authentic materials in developing English reading competence of logistics students. The research was conducted on the basis of the integration of the competency-based approach, communicative language pedagogy, constructivist educational paradigm and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) methodology. In the process of experimental training, a system of profession-oriented reading tasks was developed based on authentic professional texts related to international logistics activities - multimodal transport documents, customs declaration forms, supply chain analytics reports, warehouse operation manuals and freight forwarding correspondence.
