This article examines the artistic language features of Walking Under the Thunderstorm, a novel by Erkin A’zam, one of the prominent representatives of Uzbek literature. The analysis focuses on the artistic expressive devices employed in the work, the use of lexical units closely related to folk speech, dialogues, phraseological expressions, irony and humor, as well as the distinctive features of the novel’s syntactic structure. Particular attention is paid to the harmony between the author’s narrative voice and the speech of the characters. The occasional words (names) used in the novel are also explained. As a result, the study demonstrates that the writer’s individual style and mastery of artistic language constitute a unique and significant phenomenon in Uzbek prose.
