ART AND CULTURAL ASPECTS IN HAN KANG’S WORKS: FOCUSING ON THE “VEGETARIAN” AND “GREEK LESSONS”

Abstract

Han Kang’s works are characterized not only by their literary context and creative storytelling but also by their detailed incorporation of artistic and cultural elements. This paper examines the interrelationship between art and literature, focusing on The Vegetarian and Greek Lessons. It explores how these elements can be utilized in contemporary Korean literature education. In particular, the study analyzes how artistic motifs within the texts express the protagonists’ identities and emotions, proposing a new pedagogical approach that integrates literature and art in literary education.
