DEVELOPING LINGUOCULTURAL COMPETENCE IN TEACHING ENGLISH TO STUDENTS OF NON-PHILOLOGICAL HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

This article discusses the role and importance of the formation of linguocultural competence in teaching English to students of non-philological higher education institutions. The fact that in the era of globalization, English has become not only a communicative tool, but also the main key to intercultural communication is scientifically substantiated. Also, effective methods and didactic approaches used in the development of linguocultural competence are analyzed.
