ISSUES OF DEVELOPING KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPORT IDEAL IN THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROCESS

This article analyzes the philosophical, aesthetic, and pedagogical essence of the concept of the “sport ideal” and reveals the relevance of forming and developing knowledge about the sport ideal among students and young people. The educational significance of the sport ideal in promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging youth participation in physical education and mass sports is substantiated. The study examines the content of the concept of the ideal, its role in personal and social development, and its close relationship with the aesthetic ideal. The sport ideal is interpreted as an important factor in the spiritual and moral development of young people, as well as in the formation of willpower, patriotism, and an active civic position. The article concludes that the development of knowledge about the sport ideal is one of the pressing issues in modern pedagogy.
