VIEWS OF THE UZBEKS OF THE FERGANA VALLEY RELATED TO THE CULT OF BLOOD

The article analyzes the views of the Uzbeks of the Fergana Valley related to the symbolism of blood. The main focus is on archaic ideas concerning the genesis of this sacred symbol, the attitude of the Uzbek people toward the cult of blood, and the reflection of this symbol in family and religious rituals.
