PRINCIPLES OF TRANSFORMING NATURE IN MARXIST PHILOSOPHY AND THE MODERN ECOLOGICAL CRISIS: A SOCIO-PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS

Khorazmi Amurovich Abdukarimov ,

Abstract

This article reinterprets the Marxist idea of transforming nature under the conditions of the contemporary ecological crisis. The aim is to connect Marx’s and Engels’s views on nature, labour and social production with contemporary ecosocialist approaches and to reveal the structural causes of ecological breakdown. The study employs dialectical, historical-logical, comparative-conceptual and systems analysis. It argues that the ecological crisis is not merely a technical failure or a resource shortage but a rupture between natural and social metabolism generated by the logic of capitalist accumulation. The paper proposes three criteria for evaluating a green transition: ecological restoration, social justice and democratic planning. It concludes that, in Uzbekistan, the transition to a green economy should be understood not only as technological modernization, but also as a process of restoring harmonious social relations with nature.
