This article discusses the prevention of violence and abuse against women and children. Violence and abuse against women and children is one of the most serious structural problems of our time, undermining social cohesion, human rights, and public health systems worldwide. Using an integrated socio-ecological model, the article examines how macro-social structures, institutional gaps, and cultural paradigms reinforce the vulnerability of vulnerable groups.
