Abror Quvondiqovich Komilov ,Abstract
This article provides a scholarly analysis of the theoretical and methodological foundations of gender relations, their socio-political essence, and their relationship with democratic principles. Ensuring gender equality is considered one of the key criteria of a modern democratic society. The article examines feminist theories, major methodological approaches to gender analysis, the development of gender policy in Uzbekistan, as well as international legal frameworks, particularly the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW, 1979) and commitments within the United Nations system. The study also explores the interrelationship between democratic transformation and gender equality, demonstrating the importance of equal rights and opportunities in the development of democratic institutions and social relations.
