The article analyzes the role and importance of scientific knowledge and philosophical worldview in educating young people in the spirit of the idea of independence. It is argued that the process of building a democratic legal state and civil society in Uzbekistan is based on the principle of secularism, and that the issues of secularism, the harmony of national and universal values need to be considered on the basis of a philosophical worldview. The issues of the harmony of education and upbringing in educating young people in the spirit of the idea of independence are outlined.
