This article comprehensively analyzes the role of the neighborhood institution in the pre-trial settlement of disputes arising between business entities. In particular, the role of the neighborhood as a socio-legal institution, its potential for mediation and reaching agreements, and its relationship with mediation mechanisms will be studied. The article covers the practical activities of the mahalla institute in pre-trial settlement of business disputes and its institutional cooperation with economic courts. The article also analyzes the possibilities and advantages of resolving disputes online based on the concept of a "digital neighborhood" in modern conditions. Analyses show that the integration of the mahalla institution with mediation mechanisms will help reduce the burden on the courts, resolve disputes quickly and at low cost, and improve the business environment. However, the current system has been found to have problems such as insufficient legal authority, a lack of qualified mediators, and an underdeveloped digital infrastructure.
