THE CONTENT AND ESSENCE OF THE CONCEPT OF PSYCHOLOGICAL STABILITY

This article analyzes the concept and essence of mental (psychological) stability within the framework of modern psychological theories and establishes its direct connection with the field of social work. Psychological stability is defined as a person’s ability to maintain mental balance, resist negative influences, adapt effectively, and recover quickly in conditions of stress, trauma, and psycho-social difficulties. Its main components include emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, social support, and personal resources such as optimism and self-regulation.
