Charos Saidova ,Abstract
This article analyzes the foreign trade relations that developed during the early years following the Republic of Uzbekistan’s attainment of state independence, particularly in 1991–1993. The study focuses primarily on Uzbekistan’s trade and economic relations with the former Soviet republics and the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), as well as Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan. It examines export and import volumes, imports of certain food products, the trade balance across various industrial sectors, and changes in trade indicators involving South Asian countries.
