This article is devoted to the study of some theoretical aspects of the concept of "soft power" in international relations, and aims to determine the positive aspects of the use of "soft power" resources for states. Historical, analysis, analogy, logical method, comparative-political analysis methods were used in the work. The article shows the differences in the tools, forms and types of "soft power" used in the foreign policy of the leading states of the modern international relations system. It is analyzed on the basis of successful examples of the introduction of "soft power", cultural and public diplomacy into foreign policy.
